Noreena Hertz (KC 1992) is a renowned thought-leader, economist, academic and broadcaster. She is the bestselling author of The Silent Takeover, I.O.U. and Eyes Wide Open. Her most recent book is The Lonely Century – A Call to Reconnect.

Diana Barran (KC 1977) is Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the School System and Student Finance. She was formerly the Minister for Loneliness from 2019-2021 and is the founder of the domestic abuse awareness charity Safe Lives, former hedge fund manager and Conservative Party life peer.
